Power Co, London then to Walton Liverpool with Victoria Docks United Nations (22 Dec 45) slogan datestamp applied & with unframed Return to Sender h/s in blue & returned c/o S.P.C. Box 404, Shanghai with on arrival plain white label & with circular segmented Chinese Security Censor h/s in black & apparently returned once again to 95 Bedford road, Walton, Liverpool…………….SS Arawa was a New Zealand vessel plying the NZ-Australia to China route & is know to have acted as a repatriation ship for ex internees from the Shanghai ghetto at wars end….. A facinating item more than likely connected to the Japanese established ghetto for foreigners in Shanghai during WW2
