Hospital, Larbert, Scotland bearing 2 x Lyre Bird 1/- & Queen Elizabeth 1d brown making 2/1 rate tied Melbourne date stamp & with 3 Opened by Censor label in two opposing lines (CCSG L3 – 7a) tied violet framed 3 /OPENED .BY /CENSOR /322 (CCSG H3 – 8a) & with on reverse scarce continuous 4 line R.A.A.F. BASE P.O. No 4, 11 AUG 43, IF UNDELIVERED, ADVISE R.A.A..F (Proud M2 State 2) …An interesting item for security purposes mail could not be addressed openly, it had to be sent via Kodak House, latest recorded date as at 2008 (Little) for label L3 -7a is 15 Dec 1942 now extended to 28 Jun 1943 & Proud’s M2 State 2 earliest date is 16 Feb 1944 which now is 11 Aug 1943
