1942 Plain envelope to Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania endorsed By Sea and Air to USA bearing combination of Roo ½d + Lyre bird 1/- + GV1 purple 2d & GV1 3½d on 3d making 1/6 rate tied Mute Barred oval cancel believed to be Naval use & with large blue circular U.S. Army / Censored / 1 with manuscript initial of censor in centre & 0n reverse annotated Received this on May 15, 1942….. Helbock in Passed By US Army Censor records this censor device used for less than 2 months  between 24 Feb – 17 Apr 1942 & only through US APO 501 or 503. .

Hepford bearing Elizabeth 1d maroon tied Melbourne date stamp & with large blue circular U.S. Army / Censored / 1 with manuscript initial of censor in centre….. Helbock in Passed By US Army Censor records this device used for less than 2 months  between 24 Feb – 17 Apr 1942 & only through US APO 501 or 503, this is late use via Melbourne civil office & note the pencil X through the date stamp.19
